We're All Growed Up!

So, A LOT of stuff has been happening in the recent past and I'm sure you all have just been dying to know every little detail about our life. But for the very small minority out there, we'll try to just hit the high points. We're feeling all growed up and stuff with all of the big steps we've been taking, but so far so good.

Graduation!

(Don't make fun, my hat was a little small...)

Rachel and I just graduated! Well, Rachel actually still has a few more classes she has to take this semester but it will be officially official in December. But we just wanted to walk together. Some of our fam showed up and it was really great. I graduated in Communication (emphasis in PR) and Rachel in University Studies (Child Development, Psychology, and Culinary Arts). So yay for us. (Not going to school is awesome by the way.)

With my graduation has come a new job. I don't know if I said anything about it in my last post (I was working there part time last semester), but things have changed a lot so I'll tell you about it anyway. Basically, when I started, there were just three of us. The guy who started it (the one with the money), my manager (the one who was in charge), and me. We just did printer solutions and I was the tech that fixed/cleaned the printers and delivered the supplies and stuff. Anyway, I'll just say there were some changes in staff and now it's just me, the guy who started it, and two super awesome IT guys. With that came a complete change in the business. We now do full out IT services with printer stuff on the side. I get a company car and they pay my gas and cell phone bill, so that is suweet.

Amongst the changes, I was interviewing for a year-long internship for Church Public Affairs (which is my dream job). I had a second interview via skype that went really well and was waiting to hear back for a couple of weeks but we just decided it was best for me to stay here (and I still have yet to hear back from the church so I guess it was a good choice). So now I am doing sales and marketing for the new company while managing the print side of things. I've been doing a lot of graphic design and stuff and that has been enjoyable. I just finished our website srv-it.com.

Enough with the boring stuff, here's a cute picture of us:

Looking mysterious...

We did this fun mystery dinner with some friends a couple of months ago that was 40's-ish themed. I think we look pretty stellar.

AND we moved! Again!

And here are some more fun pictures of a fun date we went on a couple weeks ago. Everything was FREE! We had some starving student cards that were about to expire with some free things we had not yet done, so we went and did the rest of the free stuff. It was quite a blast really. I don't really know why we're making so many funny faces, but whatevs.

Free bowling!

Free Cosmic Golfing!

Free Cookie and Boise State game!

Free laser tag and more glow golf.

And free ice cream!!

Oh and we also got some free chocolates but forgot the picture.

As you all can see, Rachel is getting more and more pregnant (and beautiful). Here are some more pictures of her cute little tummy.

17 weeks

21ish weeks

25 weeks

She's been a champ. She's now at 30 weeks. Woot! The first two trimesters were relatively a breeze for her but lately she's been having some troubles. We've actually had to take a few (4) trips to the hospital. She's been waking up in the middle of the night with major back pain, muscle spasms, and she can't breath (she described it like a heart attack). The first two times they just sent her up to labor and delivery (because having contractions feels just like having a heart attack?). They told her she had some severe acid reflux or something (because acid reflux feels just like a heart attack?) and sent her away. Finally the third time it wasn't calming down so we went and demanded the ER. After some more issues, she finally got an ultrasound. Turns out she has gallstones and restricted kidneys. Let's just say she felt a lot more justified when we found that out. Apparently gallstone pain is equivalent to labor. So she's basically a pro now.

She's doing great now though. She's on a strict no/low fat diet until she has the baby and can go in for surgery. She's not so happy about the diet (recipes/food ideas would be helpful) but we feel blessed to finally know what the deal is. We're confident everything will be fine but send some prayers our way if you will.

So there it is. The juicy details of our wonderful life together. We feel so blessed and I know that God has been looking out for us lately. We recently have been praying together that we can have a unified testimony of God and His goodness and I think these experiences have been an answer to our prayers. And we are grateful!

New Things

So many new things have been happening in our lives. It's crazy! There's a lot to get you caught up on with our oh-so-exciting lives. Rachel has dubbed me (Jesse) the new blog up-keeper "since I'm the Communications guy." So here goes.

YUKI!

Do not get this confused with yucky. It is pronounced yoo-kee. Or rather she is pronounced that way. It's our new(ish) car, a 2003 Kia Optima! We've actually had it for quite a while now, but we took pictures for the sole purpose of putting it on our blog so here you have it.

We first named her Roxy, because she's a pretty foxy car. But then (on the second day driving it) the fuel pump decided to die. That was pretty upsetting as you can probably imagine. So we decided to give her a new name once all was said and done for her new determination to be a great car. And she has been.

The main reason we bought Yuki was because we needed a car that could take us farther than Rexburg. Luckily, when we were married one of my friends sold us Bubba ('92 Toyota Paseo) for super cheap. He was a good car but Bubba could only take us so far. R.I.P. Bubba.

Our Hotel Home

So, if you haven't heard, we are now living in a hotel (since January). Well, a remodeled/converted hotel, but a hotel nonetheless. It's basically a studio apartment. We actually like it a lot. Everything is fancy and new and we have a pool, work out room, and a spa is on the way! It's quite cozy really. And it saves us a bum-load of money. It comes completely furnished too! Here is the new place...

So you walk in and you've got the closets directly to the right and the bathroom past the closet. (That random bookshelf is no longer there.)

If you pass the closet and just walk straight in, this is what you find...

I made the pictures nice and small so you can get the right feel for it. Seriously though, we like it a lot more than we thought we would. Sometimes we imagine living in a cool New York City studio flat. And then we look out the window to the desert.

Life is Good.

The Newest of Things:

For those faithful blog readers.

You get to know first-ish...

We're having a baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rachel is due November 25th and we are so absolutely stoked!

You can now post how excited you are on our blog but we still might try to keep it off of facebook for a while.

Well, thanks for checking in. Maybe we'll have another post up before the new year! ;)
